 Always read manufacturers’ instructions

 Inspection 

¨   ID number present

¨   Alignment of body – twisting, buckling

¨   Wear, corrosion and cracks on body and cams

¨   Check all nuts, bolts, springs and rivets

¨   Opening, closing and locking mechanisms operating correctly perform function check 

Maintenance 

Clean prior to inspection

 Lubricate after inspection 

Store hung up in dry environment, springs unloaded 

Marking

Ascenders may be lightly engraved, location of marking will vary according to type (Contact Bill Beynon 07970 683776 for advice).
